Waiving Out of the University of Southern California Postdoc Insurance Plan

The University of Southern California Postdoc Insurance Plan waiver standards are in compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). All postdocs that already have a health insurance policy must demonstrate proof of insurance for themselves by submitting a waiver application on this website.

Please note: Medical evacuation of not less than $50,000 and repatriation (after death, removal of remains) of not less than $25,000 coverage is provided in the Postdoc Life Insurance plan; therefore, postdocs are not permitted to waive out of Postdoc Life Insurance plan.

Waiver Request Checklist

Please review your insurance policy or schedule of benefits to determine if your insurance policy meets the University of Southern California’s waiver standards. Please answer the questions below in order to begin the online waiver application.
