As an eligible International Student, you are able to enroll in a voluntary dental plan during your stay at UC San Diego ISPO

Enrolling in one of the dental plans is strictly voluntary, but obtaining dental insurance will help you pay for the cost of a routine check-up including the unexpected procedures such as a crown or a root canal, which could be quite expensive if you are paying out of your own pocket.

As an International Student, you will have the option to purchase either a DHMO or DPPO plan.

The entire enrollment and payment process is handled directly on dental insurance carrier website. The monthly premium will vary based on your age and location. In order to receive an exact monthly premium amount quote, you will need to provide your information to the dental insurance carriers as part of the voluntary dental enrollment process.
